Booking & Payments
How do I secure a booking?+
A 30% deposit secures your dates. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 12 weeks before arrival.
Is there a security deposit?+
Yes, a €1,200 refundable security deposit is added to your balance. It’s returned within 2 weeks of departure, subject to any damage or breach of terms.
Do you have a minimum stay?+
7 nights (Friday to Friday generally) in peak season, 4 nights at other times of year. Please enquire for exact minimums on your dates as sometimes we can be flexible.
Will I get the best price booking directly with you?+
Yes — found our dates cheaper elsewhere? We’ll match it, and beat it. Booking direct also comes with a complimentary bottle of champagne on arrival.
What’s your cancellation policy?+
Please refer to our Bookings Terms & Conditions provided with your quotation.
Arrival & Your Stay
What time is check-in and check-out?+
Check-in is from 4pm, check-out is by 10am.
Is WiFi available?+
Yes, strong WiFi is available throughout the château.
Is the kitchen fully equipped for self-catering?+
Yes — fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice maker, bean-to-cup coffee machine, induction hob, dishwasher, and kettle with tea essentials.
Can you arrange a private chef?+
Yes, private catering can be arranged with one of our local chefs — seasonal menus using the best of the Lot-et-Garonne. Enquire ahead to book.
The Property
How many guests can the château sleep?+
Up to 15 guests across 8 individually styled bedrooms (6 ensuites, plus a shared family bathroom). Two cots are available for babies. If you wish to host more than 15 overnight guests, please send us an enquiry.
Is parking available?+
Yes — plenty of space for cars in the dedicated parking area.
Are pets allowed?+
Well-behaved pets are welcome — please enquire. Additional fees apply, along with certain conditions.
Is smoking permitted?+
Strictly no smoking indoors. Luckily there is plenty of outdoor space.
Is the property accessible for guests with mobility needs?+
The château is not accessible for mobility needs, as all bedrooms are located on the first and second floors.
Group Vacations
Can smaller groups book, or is it whole-château only?+
The château is always exclusive hire — never shared with other guests — and it settles comfortably around a smaller group just as easily as it opens up for a full house of fifteen. For groups of 2–8 guests wanting a quieter house party, enquire with your dates and we’ll advise.
We have more than 15 guests — can you accommodate a larger group?+
Our standard overnight capacity is 15 guests, but many rooms comfortably sleep more than two, so friends or extended family sharing is common. Get in touch and we’re happy to talk through what’s possible for your dates.
Celebrations
What’s your maximum guest count for celebrations?+
We host intimate celebrations and weddings of 35 guests or fewer.
Why do you keep celebrations intimate?+
We’ve deliberately capped celebrations at 35 guests to remain considerate neighbours in a quiet rural setting among working farms and private homes.
Do you offer event packages?+
We don’t offer set packages, but we’re happy to share our preferred suppliers list — caterers, florists, and other vendors. For destination celebrations, we generally suggest working with an event planner.
Retreats
Can you host a day retreat or workshop for more people than the château sleeps overnight?+
Possibly — L’Orangerie and the grounds can flex beyond our 15-guest overnight capacity for day sessions. Get in touch to discuss.
What kind of retreats have you hosted before?+
Wellness and yoga retreats, creative/artist gatherings, and gastronomical experiences.
Do you offer catering packages for retreats?+
Yes — we’ve partnered with a local private chef who offers different levels of catering depending on group size. Alternatively, you can bring your own chef. Request our Retreat Pack for full details.
Photoshoots
Is the château exclusive-use for shoots?+
Yes, always — never shared with other guests.
What’s the maximum crew size?+
20 people on site, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Do we need insurance?+
Yes, productions must hold public liability insurance with a minimum of €2,000,000 cover, with a certificate provided ahead of the shoot.
Does the day rate include overnight accommodation?+
No — overnight stays and bed use are not included in the day rate and are charged separately if needed.
Who owns the rights to the images?+
Full usage terms are covered in our commercial photoshoot agreement, provided at enquiry.
Collaborations
I’m a content creator — do you accept collaborations?+
Yes — we love working with creators to produce fresh content for the château. Include a media pack outlining your proposal and relevance to our offerings.
